Weight Loss for Women - Feet shrinking?

Has anyone else experiencing shrinking feet "first" when they begin losing weight? Last week, I was able to get into some shoes I haven't worn in about 2 years because of constant weight gain and swollen feet. This week, those same shoes are too big on my feet! I could barely get into work because my shoes were falling off.

Phenomenon? I've only lost 8 lbs so far.

Age & Hormones

I have experienced the same , but just before I started dieting. I went perimenopausal early (about 40). Five years on , and the process is still incomplete but big changes are taking place , I think my drop in shoe size is mostly due to my age and my hormones. Since dieting and loosing up to 10lbs (of the 16lbs I want to drop) , my shoe size has not further reduced. My hands , wrist , ankles and feet , have never really put weight on with me , nor the reverse. In others it could be simply down to weight and fluid loss or reduction in inflammation due to the feet previously dealing with excess weight?????? I can't seem to find any evience either way on the www. But I do know I have lots of shoes now that are too big for my feet.

Hmmm....

Has your activity level changed any? Is there a dietary change you've made recently? To me, it sounds more like reduction of inflammation than standard weight loss.
