I'm sure we're all in this same boat, but I ate way too much for Thanksgiving! Does anyone know how that one bad day really effects things? I guess I'm wondering if it's OK to let loose once or twice a year as long as you have a sensible diet otherwise.
We all save up for speical moments, but I think if we know ahead of time we can save, eat light early in the day and save the calories for that 1 meal. And eat everything u want but on a small plate, including your dessert.
One of the best things I have learned is to drink more water. I find that many times when I feel hungry, it's really just my mind playing tricks on me. If I drink a glass water and then I am still hungry, then I go for a healthy snack.
Another tip I have heard is that drinking apple juice can take away hunger, but I haven't really tried that.
I've found that drinking lemon water- just squeeze a lemon wedge in a glass of water- quenches my thirst and satisfies my craving for something flavored. I also have tried cucumber water which makes me feel like i'm at a spa.
