What I'd like to see...
Hello Fr. Roderick...
I don't know if I need to see practical examples as to how to lose weight and get fit. There seem to be a lot of those lately. And everybody is doing something different--some have Atkins, some go for South Beach, some are going Weight Watchers, and some are doing vegan. Some do strength training, cardio-only, etc, etc. (Maybe an occassional top ten list.)
Instead, as a Catholic program, how about a study of getting fit from a faith perspective? A theology of the Body, so to speak. Examples of Saints that extol fitness. Interviews with Catholic fit-heads, as to what inspires them.
I've read the book "Fit For Eternal Life" by Kevin Vogt (Sophia Institute Press) and own a copy of "The Catholic Ideal: Exercise & Sports" by Robert Feeney (Aquinas Press). Both books are filled with stories and anecdotes and practicals as to how to integrate one's faith life (even a busy faith-life) with the daily needs of exercise and moderate eating. Referencing these works, which in fact, reference much of what has been passed down to us, could make your program useful and inviting.
But, yes, let's move it to audio-only. Video is great when it is needed (like Greg Willets' awesome marathon last year), but if it's you as a talking head, might as well do it audio.

Suggestion
I, too, would like to see more from our faith perspective. I have not read the above mentioned book, but that sounds like a great book for me to get my hands on and possibly do a review for the healthy catholic episodes? I agree, audio would be great (so I could listen while working out) and video when the circumstances would enhance the topic/event. Also, suggestions for nutrition/healthy eating, plus any work out groups that others in the Healthy Catholic Group are participating in at the gyminee site, or even what others from the group are doing and what they do to keep motivated. Thank you, Fr. Roderick, for your invitation for suggestions and for your time and effort in assisting us in being Healthy Catholics!
