Ahotmess did a good job of meeting his Calorie goal this past week!
About Me
After some knee problems in 2008 I sat on the couch for a year and became a bit more round. Now I'm back and determined to lose 15 to be able to look sexy to my wife. Yeah, I'll have to get a six pack and look like Eric Bana too, but first things first.

Losing...
Actually, I've found it to be really easy. Even when I feel like I'm "pigging out", I'll gain maybe a pound for the week. Here's what I do. I eat about every 2.5 hours. Breakfast is a small bowl of cereal and 2 waffles with low-calorie yogurt on them for flavor (the "Fiber One" ones are good for this. Only 50 calories). Then, I have a food bar for a morning snack. I make sure it's not over 200 calories (usually, it's less than 150). I aim for more than 3g of protien, more than 6g of fiber, and less than 7-8g of sugar. Look into the FiberOne and South Beach and the Vons' "Eating Right" brands for ones that fit the bill here. Then, for lunch, I have a plain turkey or tuna or chicken sandwich with lettuce, no mayo, no cheese, and whole-wheat bread (I can pick these up from the mini-mart on the way in to work). Then the afternoon snack is another food bar. The next time I'm scheduled to eat, I'm home, so I raid my fridge and make a big salad with lettuce, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and sugar snap peas. I treat myself to extra dressing, but it's always low-calorie... less than 80 calories per serving (my favorite right now is one by Kraft... roast-pepper vinaigrette, I think. 40 calories per serving or so). I munch on about 3 of those salads throughout the evening. Also during that time, I'll have a couple of big bites of chicken breasts and a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese.
