amro's Journal
Day: 22 Progress
I've gained 1 lbs in weight; I've lost: 1cm from stomach; 0.5cm from waist; and 1.5cm from hips. BF% has decreased by 2.1%. It would seem I'm gaining some muscle while continuing to lose fat.

Day: 15 Progress
Usual Sunday morning weigh-in and measurements, I've lost: 2.8 lbs; 3cm from stomach;1.5cm from waist; 1cm from hips. I've made great progress, and I want to see how much further I can accelerate the fat loss. I'm thinking of taking ice baths 5 times a week, instead of 3 times a week, or lowering the temperature of my office to 60f/15c.

Day 8: Measurements and binging
In 7 days, I've lost: 9.7 lbs (!) in weight; 4cm from stomach (2 inches above navel); 3.5cm from navel; 1cm from hips (2 inches below navel). So far so good, I'm looking forward to my week 2 measurements to see if the rate of loss continues as it has up to now. Ate some chocolate and nachos today as part of my "binge" day. I made sure to continue my usual high-protein breakfast so as not to lose complete control, though it seems unlikely now that I'm more committed to the diet after seeing such dramatic and tangible results in my body. Hell, I'm beginning to look forward to ice baths... hah.

Day 4: Ice Baths
Everything is running smoothly. The only thing I have difficulty with is ice baths - no matter how much I mentally prepare myself to jump into a 43F tub of water, the physiological reaction is always the same: "Get the F@%& out of the water, NOW!". The first two minutes are extremely tough, after that, it's easy. I'm going to attempt to condition myself to jump into the tub as soon as I hit "start" on my timer, instead of deliberating for 5 minutes whether or not I should get into the tub.
