ArtesiaWY's Journal
hey!
Are you coming back? Not that I've been good since Thanksgiving, but I'll still help motivate you, if you want.

I went to a doctor both times it was bad, but all they do is give you pills, put you on bed rest and tell you to be more careful in the future (duh). A good massage is much more useful.

Title...
Understand that I am a teacher who has students from ages 3 to 63 and several of whom don't take care of themselves (so this is probably a stupid question for you)... have you gone to see a doctor or chiropractor? Even 10 years later, they might be able to do something for you

pinched nerve
My back issue is recurrent since I was 21, and primarily caused by lazyness. If I keep flexible and strong by doing yoga or pilates or core stability exercises once a week-ish then I am fine. But when I get lazy and quit then I hurt myself. Fortunately I didn't really do myself in this time, so I am 90% better already. I hope to try my luck with running again today :)

Back problems
Depending on how you hurt your back, I can recommend doing the cobra stretch and angry cats (also called cat and cow) if you have any yoga books. When my car got totaled (with me in it), both of those helped from the whiplash. Hope you get to feeling better
