February 15
First things first - dinner was delicious. Home made fajitas - delicious. I even put a bit of avocado on mine, I haven't had avocado in so long. The past few days have been relatively easy eating wise. I started taking Wellbutrin again, and I think it's helping with some of the binging feelings. I was on Wellbutrin starting this summer and into December. I thought I was controlling my depression and moods pretty well with exercise, but I had two difficult conversations with DH and my parents separately, and they both said the same thing - my moods are swinging and they feel that something isn't right. I'm back on the medication, and I'm having the same mild side effects I didn't like before, but I feel calmer and more centered. I guess there's a trade off for everything. I don't want to be on this drug for the rest of my life, but for now I need to. I think I'm ok with that. On the exercise front, I'm still standing 90% of the time at work and I managed to lift yesterday. I skipped Zumba on Monday, but I went today. My favorite instructor is back, and she kicked our butts. I upped my weights and have sore quads and traps. It'll be worse tomorrow, as I'm usually most sore about 48 hours after. I'm feeling some pain in my feet. My left foots toes are going numb at times in Zumba and now they feel warm and a bit achy. My right foot is having some plantar fasciatis type pain. I had PF when I was in high school, perhaps it's flaring up. I think the pain is because I'm standing all day, usually in heels. Zumba just exacerbates the irritation. I'll start standing less at work until my foot heals. Upcoming challenges: Toastmasters tomorrow night and that's about it. I'm sure something will pop up over the weekend. Past successes: One of the VPs at work brought around a whole cart of cupcakes for Valentines day. I told myself that they probably weren't that great as they had to buy about 800 of them. My hunch was later confirmed. Glad I passed on them. Weigh ins: I'm very puffy and bloated right now as my TOM is about to go down. I'll skip this Saturday's weigh in and get on the scale next Wednesday or Friday. I think that's about it for now. There are some days I don't feel like journaling, but then I do, and I surprise myself because I have so much to say.

I feel your pain..
I lost 3/4 of a lb but weighed myself today and discovered I gained it back. I officially weigh myself every Monday so hopefully that 3/4 of a lb disappears. Good luck at your weigh in and remember you can always redeem yourself thus upcoming week.

February 10
I can't believe February is 1/3 done. Crazy. I'm in the midst of battling a sinus infection, and it's been a bit difficult to eat "normally" when all I really want is to curl up with a box of graham crackers. I've been working a few graham crackers in, but I'm trying to be more aware that I really don't feel *that* bad, and eating poorly will make me feel worse. Why are carbs (esp. crappy, calorie dense, sugary ones) so comforting? I havn't made it to the gym since Monday (it's been a busy week, but that's not a great excuse) but I'll be shakin' it at Zumba tonight and tomorrow. I'm tentatively penciling Sunday into my workout calendar, perhaps for a lifting session - which I'm so good at putting off. When I went to the doctor I was a bit nervous to step on the scale. I had my work clothes on (but shoes off) and I was worried about what the "week off" had done to my weight. I weighed in at 165, and I have mixed feelings about it. It could be worse, but the 163 I saw at Lifetime a few weeks ago was so much better. I have a weigh in tomorrow, and I'll log that official number into the tracker. It's time to keep on - keepin' on!

not the "B" word...
It's a tough one. I keep telling myself it's not dieting it's just changing my eating habits to a healthier one. I guess the key word is moderation, or a smaller portion. When the family has pasta I have a little but load up on the meat and salad. Breads are one of my favorites, I grew up eating it with every meal. So far I've been doing well staying away from it, croutons seem to sneak on my salad every once in awhile. (the five biggest ones left in the bag). Its hidden in the freezer so it's not easily accessible. If I have something to eat that I shouldn't I tell myself it's just adding to the time to achieve my goal. There shouldn't be guilt, that only makes you want it more. The clothes feel better so I use as motivation to refrain. Your doing great, the tracker is great because you can go back and see how far you've come. I've also used it to check on foods of somewhere we might be goining to eat to help with the decision. Sandi said something awhile back that made alot of sence. Find out what you crave and find the healthy alternative. Work keeps the little bowl of chocolates at the reception desk. So I ended up picking up the chocolate protein bar as my afternoon snack. I've also replaced chips with nuts as my evening binge food. Your doing GREAT...keep up the good work.
