    Morning WORKOUT?!!!!

I have been cutting back on my calorie intake because of a busy work schedule and last night in the shower I didn't like what I saw. It seems that if there is no muscle to fill out certain parts of my body (read: ass), that it just sort of hangs there Grossssss!! Severely disappointed, I vowed to get up at 6, drop my little boy off at school and make it to the gym before work for my DailyBurn workout (weight loss). I had a whole different experience with my workout this morning. It's definitely a keeper. Instead of having to worry about making it back to work on time like I usually do when I work out on my lunch break. I just got to focus on how I felt and get ready to start the day. Totally different.

    A one whole week + 1day hiatus

After being dedicated to exercising with help from #DailyBurn for about a month consistently, I decided to run a 5K with my friend @RahrBrewery in Fort Worth, TX. The run was so awesome - a great experience even though my performance was poor! LOL! It was. Running on an elliptical is nothing like running on cracked, potholed asphalt. Duh. With the help of some delicious beer post-race, I numbed the pain in my knees and thighs. The next morning was a different monster, however. My whole body hurt - because I didn't condition it for that type of workout. Lesson learned. The next morning I decided that I needed to keep at it and brought my mountain bike out to @LBHoustonPark in west Dallas for a little jaunt through the trees. I tried to ride as fast as possible for as long as possible. Again, the next morning was a brutal reminder that I am almost 30...Enough. Being really busy at work and feeling like a big ball of ouch kept me away from the gym all week last week. With that came nagging thoughts about "shoulda, woulda, coulda...," but I made sure to eat healthfully and drink tea and walk to get lunch. I finally got to do my workout today, finally and it was pure awesomeness. First off, the same previously used routine was Easy for me as opposed to Difficult. I improved my time on the 3.0 mile elliptical training. Lifting and swinging the 12.5lb. kettle ball I use in lieu of free weights was challenging, but fun. I was very pleased to see what a week off can do for my performance! All that time I was feeling like a bench warmer, when actually that rest was just what I needed. I skipped the scale on the way out of the gym, by the way, so I'm wondering...xoxo

Yogi Green Tea Blueberry Slim LifeĀ®

I forgot I was drinking this type of tea - or at least I didn't realize it is working until last week. It's almost working too well to decrease my appetite. I wake up hungry because my dinner portions are small and I'm eating earlier in the evening. Then, I eat breakfast between 7:45-9am and I am not hungry until around 2pm! The tea is packed with nutrients and contains catechins (a super powerful flavanoid/antioxidant), ginseng, hibiscus, blueberry and garcinia cambogia extract. Yum! No sweetener needed. Oh, and I think it is better over ice.
