The benefits of strep throat...
I feel the need to explain the drastic weight loss that has occurred in the past 2 weeks. First off, it all started shortly after Halloween, when I stupidly started to fall off the wagon of food-logging. I was making excuses about how little time I had to do it, or some other BS. Really, I was lazy and I wasn't eating all that great. Secondly, the following Friday, I came down with a nasty bug of some sort, which took my weight from 229 on Saturday morning down to 224 on Monday morning. This nasty bug turned out to be strep throat, preventing me from eating anything solid, and even struggling to get more than a litre of water in me per day. All this, plus an entire week spent in bed equals some insane weight loss tactics. By the time Thursday had hit, I was down to 216 lbs, and not lovin' life after days of Ensure/Boost shakes and a 13 lb. weight drop. But as all sicknesses go, you eventually have to get better, and that lovely weight loss starts to decline as you put back on the water-weight and gain back some of the lost muscle tissue lost to the week of bed-rest. So here we are, a week and a half after a really horrible experience, and I am quite happy to say that I have managed to keep off those pesky pounds from getting back on my body!! Woohoo!! Go me!

I need all the help I can get...
So here I am, officially 49.4 lbs. down from my original heaviest weight. However, I haven't lost any more than 2 pounds in the past 5 months, and I'm starting to get a bit frustrated. To top it all off, I have gotten back on track with my personal trainer from World Health, but I'm left with only 5 sessions left and no money to renew. This brings me back to why I'm here... I feel like having a fresh start at my weight loss journey is needed, and there's nothing like writing down absolutely everything you ate, or how effectively you exercised to get a new perspective. So DailyBurn family, any takers?
