bluebent's Journal
a new start
Well, it's now Spring and I'm still fat. Got to do something about it. My new goal is to lose 20lbs by Sept 1st.

staying on track
It's so hard for me to stay motivated. I am trying not to beat myself up about it though because that only makes things worse. I did take the doggies for a walk today and do a yoga video. I felt great after doing yoga - very centered and mentally strong. I know I need to be more consistent with exercise to see any real results.

Haven't weighed myself yet...
Had a great workout yesterday (treadmill and weights) and thought I would repeat it today but didn't. I need to do it in the a.m. during Molly's nap or else I just won't do it... Feel good today though. I'm going to wait another week before weighing myself as I know I haven't lost any weight and I don't want to feel discouraged and risk the desire to binge eat. I fight that urge hard enough as it is... Skates... gotta get me a pair too. I used to love skating but haven't been on a pair for 12 years. Hard to believe!

Should not have weighed myself...
I wasn't going to weigh myself for another week but... I did. It's so discouraging. Of course, it's too early to see progress and I should just be proud that I've upped the exercise. I will NOT weigh myself for another two weeks. I'm sure there will be some little change by then!

Think less and do more
I read a quote somewhere today that said to stop thinking about exercising and just do it. Makes sense! The more I think about exercising sometimes the less likely I am to do it as I "think" myself out of doing it. Had a good workout today - treadmill, chest, back and abs. I'm looking forward to doing my kickboxing video tomorrow!
