    Struggle

    I'm struggling with the nothing but water goal. I love sweet tea and the crystal light drink mixes aren't going as fast as I hoped. As for my weightloss, I'm in a nasty plateu of a standstill at 181 lbs. I was happy to see 180 on saturday, but this weekend I was in a bad depression funk. I constantly stay in a depression, but sunday was so bad that I never moved from my bed except to use the restroom and I had to force myself to eat. I'm just not sure how much of this depression I can deal with before I snap. I meant to call the doc yesterday, but I got stupid busy helping my landlady take all the pets to the vet for their annuals and flea dip. Plus we had to get the house ready for the bug man. Sorry, you didn't need to hear that. On a positive note, I did manage to hit the gym for a half hour before coming home to a delicious tilapia dinner. I just wish I had the motivation to get up and hit the rec before work every morning. Heck it's right across the street from the office. Oh well, back to work today and hopefully this week will be better.

    Setting weekly goals

    I'm not progressing as much as I would like to, so I've decided to start setting small weekly goals for myself instead of just cutting out stuff cold turkey. This week I'm switching to drinking nothing but water, which means no tea, no soda(which I've given up already), and no more of the crystal light drink mixes(at least after I finish up that last box). This shouldn't be hard to do with a roommate that constantly drinks them up before I barely get a glass or two. I'm also making some small adjustments to my diet, and thinking of scheduling an appt with a nutritionist to asesss my diet and nutrition. So here's to hydration with H2O.

    Trying to stay away from sweets

    This is a goal I'm going to try starting next week. I have soooo many temptations, especially at my part time job where there are snacks everywhere. I'm doing better at buying water when I need something to drink, instead of the sodas or juice. Doc says I'm not supposed to have white sugar or anything with high fructose corn syrup, but one of my guilty pleasures has always been sweet tea. This is a struggle for me more than anything else.

    Just getting started

    Hey I just signed up today. I'm on a mission to lose 50 lbs by july for my best friend's wedding. I would really like to lose about 30-40 before march/april because I have plans to take a cruise vacation and don't want to look and feel like a fat slob in a bathing suit :(. Any motivators? Feel free to help me out. I'll be there to keep you going too!
