About Me
2012 is about prioritizing my mental and physical health; according to my medical team I'm suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome and a possible underactive thyroid which is causing mild depression etc. Since they're not having any luck finding a treatment I'm finally taking control to see if I can beat this my way! My health goals are to increase my energy, reduce pain, and to drop 80lbs which in turn will improve my mental health too. My fitness goals are to complete P90x Classic and Insanity and to start running again. Here's to 2012! http://whatismymysterydisease.blogspot.co.uk/

bobski's Journal
Title...
Hey you! I just saw your post. How's it going?

Slow and steady
Just read your post on the forum and had to write in your journal... I am a physical therapist assistant. If you were my patient, de-conditioned by complete bed rest, I would start you with sitting and standing tolerance. The fact that you can walk a quarter mile before resting is GREAT! I am so sorry for all you have been thru and you obviously are very strong. Just keep up your walking, do it a couple times a day. Your endurance will return and soon you will be able to do what you did before for exercise and for fun! Don't overdo it and remember the end goal... Slow and steady wins the race!

Meds
What did you find out on Thursday? Are blood clots the main problem? I tryed Tramadol (I think with my left knee surgery). It worked the first night, daytime my left knee still hurt. Next evening I was very sick (vomiting). Next night I had an extreme headache (I very rarely get a headache). So I quit Tramadol. I've tried so many meds, I gave up. Especially when I tried Vicodin and had sudden hearing loss. I stopped it and most of my hearing slowly returned. So, I take 4 regular aspirins per 24 hours. Five is too much, I get vertigo, so I ration 3 for sleeping and 1 for dinner, evening. It helps maybe 5 or 10%, other than that I'm stuck with (on the pain scale 1 - 10) 7 - 8 pain for 24 hours. Oh well. I hope your pain is lessening. GG x

Exercise
My plan is mainly to just make myself do it! I just need to make the time and get it done, the only obstacle in my way is me at this point!
