    this is tuff

I have been working out 4 days a week consistently for just over four months now, and i am not thrilled with what little gains there have been so i am here now in hopes that i can get it right. The first two thirds of my life i was an athlete, i played water polo from junior high through high school and also wrestled in high school. In my mid twenty's i stopped doing anything athletic and switched to alcoholic By the time i hit my bottom i was around 220, which for 6'4" doesn't sound that bad, but it was. While i was not drinking i had access to a bow flex and i used it pretty regularly for six months or so and got down to 190 lbs, but did not gain much strength. There has been two years and two kids between the bow flex and the last four months. I started this time with a weight set and bench then a dip/pull up station followed by a heavy bag and stand. In the beginning i would start off with 10 min on the heavy bag and then the standard bench, curl sort of routines, clearly having no idea what i was doing. After two months of that i started doing more body weight stuff using apps on my phone, after two months of that i have hit a wall and can no longer finish my work outs. I eat pretty well and have decided to join here, pick a work out plan and stick with it for a few months. I am really hoping it makes a difference as i am more than a bit discouraged at the moment.
