    Weight Doesn't Matter

    In the first 10 weeks of my training I gained over 5 pounds of muscle and lost over 4 pounds of fat. If I was measuring myself by weight alone, I'd be very depressed. Fortunately, I stopped using the scale as an indicator. Instead, I am using pant size and the mirror as true measurements of my progress. I dropped a pant size in that same period of time and I see excellent muscle tone and definition in all nine major muscle groups. I have also been using calipers and I see that my body fat percentage is dropping like the stock market. That makes me happy, well, the first part of that sentence anyway.
