    Day 9 of Phase 1

    Only a few more days left!!! This just isn't so bad! But I am looking forward to being able to add whole grains and fruits back to my diet!!

    Day 6 of Phase 1 - South Beach

    This 'diet' is a breeze - I almost feel guilty, kinda like I'm doing somehting wrong since I don't feel hungry EVER! Need to weigh myself to see if I've dropped any poundage and measure myself again to see if there's a difference in inches. I would be suprised if there was any loss of poundage since I don't feel like I'm dieting (well, besides not being able to have my bowl of icecream or any fruit). But I can tell that there's been some loss of inches just be the way my clothes have been fitting. Onward!

    Day 3 of Phase 1 - South Beach

    Last night was a little difficult, never realized how much I snack at night! So instead, I drank some stinkin; water :0) I was too lazy to get myself anything else - besides the stuff I really wanted I can't have (and don't need, that's why I'm 50 lbs overweight!!!)!!!! I enjoy the foods that I'm eating and I'm not hungry throughout the day. Makes me feel like it won't work - I'm mean I can't loose weight if I'm not hungry right :0) LOL! Off to get ready for work!

    South Beach

    Just started the South Beach diet yesterday. Its really not that bad - not much different than the way I eat today, just without the junk food :0) I do miss fruits though! Never realized how much fruit I eat, or at least how much fruit I think about eating! I just need a jump start to the weight loss and to purge myself of all these sweets that I have been eating lately! And to make sure we start cooking at home instead of eating out all the stinkin' time! I really enjoy cooking just kinda got out of the habit - its time to get back into the habit especially now that the boys are older. It used to be such a chore when the boys were smaller because they were constantly on my leg or otherwise trying to get my attention while I was cooking. Now that they can entertain themselves cooking has become a pleasure again! I cooked dinner last night and really enjoyed it! It was nice to eat sitting around our table (instead of a restaurant)! Off to work!

    Hi there, you don't know me, but just wanted to say "well done" on being the top exerciser this week in this group - it takes a lot to exercise 5 days a week as a non-mom, and you have 5 kids!!!! So hey, you have my admiration, and I think your goal of a Triathlon is FANTASTIC. I hope you find the motivation you need to make the last 4 months of 2009 awesome (actually, I think you guys in the US are sadly at a disadvantage in the weight loss department from September onwards - all we have to worry about is Christmas, but you guys have Thanksgiving and Halloween to fight off as well. So hey, stay strong, you're doing great!)

Mother of 5 boys: Anthony, 20 yr old; Chris, 19 yr old; Jaden, 9 yr old; Isaac, 5 yr old; and Elijah, 3 yr old. I have been married to my best friend for the past 8 years. I work full-time outside the home. I have been trying to whip myself in shape for the past year but have hit a funk lately. Trying to find time for everything has been quite a challege but I know I can do it...well, at least I think I can...can't I???
