Hi there!
Thanks for being my motivator! It's good to have a support network, especially when you feel things have gone so far off balance. I'm the same. So far I've found this site absolutely wonderful, for counting calories especially. I wish you the best! (Oh, and just so you know, you can edit your calorie/carb/etc. goals from your nutrition page.)

Oh - one more thing
One thing that has helped me feel less overwhelmed was to not look at the long term goal weight but start with just a 10% loss - once I hit that I switched to the next 10% off. It seems more do-able that way. Good luck on your journey!

Exercise
Hi again! The main exercise I'm getting right now is walking. I bought a nice pedometer that goes in my pocket and worked my way up to walking at least 10,000 steps a day. I have some limitations thanks to an injury in my knee. So the other exercises I do are the ones that my physical therapist has me doing - mini squats, leg extensions, steps, etc. There is a way to cheat to get Wii Fit to work - when it's time to put in your weight, sit in a chair and put your feet on the board. You may want to create a new Mii to use so you can switch back when you get below their weight point. The board itself is a lot stronger than the software allows. The information won't be right but you should be able to start playing the games. I've seen EA Active also and it's really good - it's really like having a personal trainer. Even Wii Sports can be a workout if you do it right and really get into it. The best thing is to be careful and not do too much - that's how I injured my knee.

Today is the day.
I have a Dr. Appointment with Amy on the 21st at 3pm. I really want to get things centered in my life - and my weight is one of the things out of focus - before I start student teaching in the spring. If I start now, and really stay focused, I should be able to lose between sixty and eighty pounds (or more if I am lucky) by January. That would be great. I feel like I can't do much of anything anymore, and I need to fix that. I am doing Wii Dancing with the Stars right now for light exercise, until I am able to get down on the floor and do a real workout routine. I am going to go back to using the pedometer so that I can track and make sure I'm walking at least 10k steps per day. I have already been drinking more water, eliminating the sugar, cutting back the carbs, so now I need a consistant 45 g. carb per meal plan, and I need to stick to it. I feel better about the decision, but I need to do the follow-through. I need to make it work this time.
