About Me
I recently seperated from the Army after 16 years of service and two tours in Baghdad Iraq. I am finally starting to get my life back in order. I still struggle daily dealing with the effects of PTSD but with the support of my wife and Health care professionals I am learning to cope. I recently starting working out as a release and I Love it. My goal is to tone and increase muscle mass before the summer rolls around again.

Endorphins
Speaking as one that loves a trail run. I believe that endorphins are sooo healing. I really believe that our bodies are equipped to heal their own wounds. Skin forms a scab, brain produces endorphins with the right exercise, and heals the brain. There is a Master Coach here at work. Like all good game plans, we just gotta show up. (My older son was in Afghanistan, so I have a natural grown supporter in me for soldiers.) Off to the gym, my hubby and lil' son are like "are you getting off that computer so we can go to the gym"?

Hey
ckdontes, just want to say thanks for your past service to our country. I admire that you are taking a healthy approach to PTSD. Things like that inspire me. Have a great New Year with your workouts.
