    Eating Out

    Having to depend on outside food options sucks. Last Friday we were running out of food in the house and I decided to just get food on the way into work and out for lunch. I got Starbucks in the morning, Subway for lunch and then pizza for dinner. Ouch! My body let me know I just dumped crap into it, by inflicting lots of pain. We ended up out for a party on Saturday night, then staying out for Sunday. Monday I reset with getting back to eating healthy brought from home foods. Doing much better today.

    2009 Recap - 2010 Goals

    2009 was a pretty sucky year stress wise, and I really did not get much accomplished fitness wise. Couple that with the monsoon season we had most of the summer, not much got accomplished. One thing that did was keeping my weight from not going up and slowly declining it. I learned I enjoyed eating some healthier items I had previously not been interested in. 2010, I'm looking forward to trying to eat more vegetarian and try doing some weight lifting, along with yoga and bring my bike with me everywhere. I love riding my bike and there should be no excuse to not be out riding.

    haha yeah I just haven't been stopping into daily burn to record anything, because I didn't want to record my holiday weight :) he's been getting short dog walks, do need to be getting out for longer walks, the weather just hasn't cooperated.

    Reading: New Rules of Lifting for Women

    On the recommendation of a friend I picked up New Rules of Lifting for Women. Since I actually like to lift weights and prefer doing my cardio in forms of outdoor exercise, this seemed like a good time to read up. I hit a real slump this summer with some serious depression. It was very hard to come out of the funk. The highlight of my summer was biking the Lincoln Woods trail in New Hampshire back in August. I love the Fall season and the cooler weather. I also woke up to the realization that since my job is on 60% hours and pay, I should really be taking advantage of this extra time to get some exercise in and eating healthier.

    Seeing Results

    When I was getting dressed this morning I noticed my tshirts were falling over my hips much easier and not sticking, so that was a very nice change to see. If it ever stops raining in our new sub-tropical climate I'll be able to get back out and ride. I'm still trying to find ways to ride after work nearby, so it's not 7pm by the time I get out there.
