About Me
I'm regular guy, I have the privilege of being the father of two gorgeous kids ages 14 and 12. I love them so much, they are my world. I like to fish, travel, read and meet new people. I'm an atheist, but I don't make a fuss over people who are religious. I'm here because suddenly 40 crept up on me and I took a good look into a mirror and was shocked at how I looked. My aim to fix this and then some. I hope to meet new friends on this journey and hopefully end up better, stronger and healthier.

Love
My entry this week is to remind myself to love. Love myself, love my pain, love the tears, love the change, love my life again. I feel emotional today as I look into the mirror and see my jaw line come back. I can see the old me starting to return. It feels nice to walk around with my head held high. My heart swells when I think about the long fight I've had and the long battles yet to be had. Love is the most powerful thing in the universe and I'm glad to have it.

Little Payoffs
Funny how the little things sometimes mean so much. The last couple of weeks I've been in a deep plateau of weight loss and strength gains. It was depressing and discouraging to me, but I knew that it would pass if I kept to my guns with my diet plan and exercise. This week I was rewarded with a four lbs. loss yay! The lesson here is that patients pays and I shouldn't expect to see rewards everyday or every week. What I have planned is working and working well. And to also enjoy those little payoffs when they do come. Time to celebrate with sushi!

Thanks for the invite
Hope things continue to go well for you. I hope you are planning to stay around even after you hit your weight goal, because it's going to take me a bit longer to reach mine (and then I'll probably set a new one). Let me know if there's anything specific I can do to help.
