So good to hear from you!

David, thanks for the most interesting post. I am off to an appointment and will write as soon as I return. I am so pleased to hear that everything is going well for you. Remember you always have another friend in the U.S. and an open invitation to stay with us. Zach sends his best to you, as do I.

    Hi Everyone

Sorry for lack of activity on here - I am currently having a very stressful time at Grad School and don't have time to keep logging/active in the DB community. That being said, I am managing to keep a balanced diet and reasonably active which has meant I have got back to around the 180lbs mark and am maintaining there nicely. Long term plans at the moment include doing the NJ State Triathlon again and hopefully a half-marathon at some point, but we'll see! Don't know when I'll be back on DB - but hopefully soon! David

    How are you?

Hi David! Thinking of you and wanted to check in to see how you are and how this school term is going. I'm sure you are extremely busy, but I wanted to say hello after my long absence from Daily Burn and the Internet in general. Things are going well. Zach is doing excellent; he has a good job offer from FiServ. I am very excited for him. Please write and fill me in on what you've been up to when you have a minute.

About Me

I used to be very big - around 270lbs when I was only 17. In the spring of 2005 I decided to cut out chocolate, candy, cakes and potato chips from my diet (and in the process replace them with fruit etc). After doing that I lost around 40lbs over the space of 6 months. I haven't eaten them since (nearly 5 years!). Since going to university I took up rowing and consequently dropped to around 185lbs. Since then I gained a bit of muscle and then when I finished university this gradually turned into fat, meaning I now weigh around 215lbs. I moved to the States from the UK for Grad School and am determined to make this a fresh start for my body as well as my life! I have since taken up cycling for the university team and this has given me even more motivation to trim down - the kit is very "fitted"... I'm going to be keeping a video blog on my youtube channel DavidDailyBurn at http://www.youtube.com/user/DavidDailyBurn so please watch if you want to find out more about my DailyBurn experience...
