    2011

Haven't posted in 9 months...wow. Most of my 2010 was underwhelming. I lost around 10 lbs the entire year, which seems crazy to me looking back now. I guess I could explain it by saying my routines were messed up. Went from finishing school, to working, then switching jobs in Nov, so never felt settled. Also had issues with lower back pain. At least I didn't gain weight. Now I feel like I am back on track. Eating 1800 calories per day, high in protein, and going to the gym 5 times a week, as well as ball hockey twice a week. Have lost quite a bit of weight in 2011 so far, so hoping it will continue over the next 12ish weeks. Big difference is I am tracking food again, and staying away from alcohol completely.

    Hey!

Thanks for the message - this whole treading water thing is getting frustrating and it's so hard to not focus on that. Today did go a lot better and I stayed with my goals. I'm finding that I need to just keep trying new things and seeing what will stick. So sad to see your bike got stolen! I would be so sad if someone took my bike. Also, sorry to hear about the injury - injuries are lame! Hope you get that healed up soon!

    Week 31

Although this isn't actually week 31, I am returning to the Daily Burn after a 2 month break. I took the time off inadvertently, and I felt burdened by logging every food item I ate, plus a very busy time with school and starting a career. However, I am now settling into a job, and with this comes new opportunities as well as new challenges. I plan on tracking my calories this week and seeing where that takes me. I did not gain weight during my time away, but I did not lose weight either. Hopefully I can start losing body fat as I begin my new training regime. I also am dealing with a lower back injury which is not helping. My main cardio (running) is off limits, so I need to expand to swimming and biking. My bike got stolen though, so I need to go buy a new one. Lots of news, but now its time to get back to it!

    Week 30

Starting to get back on track. Sun helps. Very stressful time for me, which is leading to lack of focus.

    Week 29

Feeling like I should just start this process all over again. Have not seen much success in 2010. That's ok though. Going to start now on March 2nd, and try and get back on track. We'll see how that goes.
