Thank you for being my motivator!
Do you always resist to the temptation to eat unhealthy when your friends or family insist? If you do, what's your main motivation? Thank you again. Cheers,

Juice feast, not yet
Well, I made it two days on the juice feast and learned that now is not the time. My body started to detox and with the trainer workouts, it was not a good combo. I had 0 energy, was shaking, almost passed out.. kinda scary and I only needed to experience that once to know that now is not the time. Back to veggie..

Update
Have continued with ovo/lacto veg up till this weekend. Was my birthday weekend and so there was cake and lots of yummy goodness that did not make it into the food log! However, I have been planning on doing a juice feast after my birthday and so I started yesterday. So far so good, no intense cravings or hunger. The advice that other feaster's have given me is just to make sure I am drinking it up before hunger sets in, or before going out into situations where people are eating. The first week is always the hardest. I am hoping to do a full feast, the ~90 days, however I am willing to let my body lead the way. I am also concerned about continuing to work out with the trainer while feasting.. but will take that slowly and see how my body responds to the exercise. For those that are not familiar, juice feasting is not the same as fasting.. it is consuming your 1000-2000 calories a day but from juices, no solids. This looks like 1 gallon of fresh vegetable juice per day (or more). Many people feel that since the body is not working hard to break down and assimilate the food, less caloric intake is needed. It is believed that up to 2/3rds of the calories that you take in from lunch go into digesting your dinner. Yikes!

Update
So, I started off following the 80/10/10 raw diet by Dr. Douglas Graham. The book is great, I was feeling inspired, etc. etc. but after almost passing out (literally) from a hard workout with my trainer, I realized this was not going to work. I chose to fall back to my ovo/lacto veggie ways and start tracking my calorie/macronutrient intake, so I could get a better feel for what was going on. Part of the 12 week plan that I am on allows for a weekly "free day" where I am free to satisfy any cravings and not worry about the calories. I am noticing that on the free day I have no desire to pig out and some of the foods that I used to crave, are starting to fall away. Anyway, I am not committed to sticking with the ovo/lacto veggie scene. Mentally I would prefer to be high raw vegan again, but emotionally my body is not ready. So to allow for a slow transition, I have been investigating ways that I can shift things on a week by week basis to get closer to my dietary goals. There is no need to jump into everything overnight.
