About Me
Sightly overweight computer geek who likes to go outdoors and have fun (aka exercise). I technically need to lose 40 lbs, but if I can get down to 150, I'll be thrilled.

Gah - I hate being sick
For the last few days I've been *very* exhausted. I even took off work yesterday and slept all day (and then all night). I really miss working out, but every time I try to start a video, I make it about 10 minutes in and have to turn it off :( It could also just be my last international trip taking it's toll on me finally.

HOME!
And really glad to be home. I got to sleep in my own bed, and weighed myself when I woke up this morning, which is more "normal" for me. Now, to get back into the eating grove. Brian's got a leg of lamb scheduled for us for dinner this evening.

Almost home!
I'm almost home from my trip to Hong Kong and China. Unfortunately, I got stuck in Tokyo (really long story), but I'm not getting home until 6 hours later than originally planned. I did a lot of walking around Hong Kong and Macau sight-seeing, so I got a good bit of exercise, my food choices weren't great, but they were filling enough and there wasn't much (I generally don't like asian food). I hope I got enough water throughout the trip, it was *very* humid and uncomfortable. I drank more than my 8 glasses, but less than I normally drink, and especially on the long flights, I've felt a bit dehydrated. I'm going to weight myself when I get home, but I know it's not accurate, since I'll have just spent 30+ hours on planes and in the airport. I did sleep (thanks to business class!), but it's not exactly a "wake up" weight. I won't get that until next Monday.

Bike to work day!
I actually rode my bike to work, and plan on riding it home as well. My commuting route isn't the most bike-friendly (2 lanes, no shoulders, quite busy), but I found that the cars gave me plenty of space to ride in the right lane. There are showers at work, and I think I might start riding to and from work more often! it's only 4.1 miles - about half an hour, so that's an hour of exercise every day, without even trying.
