    Hey you!

Where've you been the past week? I don't see any weight or food entries. Don't let the crazy busy of this time of year be a stumbling block on your path to awesomeness!

    Go Team!

You are doing great! You're loosing weight super quick, but just remember that pace is probably not sustainable. It's easy to get your body to be shocked into dropping lots of water weight, etc. and whenever you first start a diet, the pounds always come off quicker at the start. So, if things slow down, don't be discouraged, just keep at it! One thing I've noticed, though, is that your daily pie chart is never really well in balance even if you meet your calorie goal. Be careful of those carbs. You're probably realizing how carb rich most foods are and how hard it is to avoid. But, making sure that your carbs don't go much beyond the bottom half of the pie is really important for not only sustained weight loss, but also PCOS management. Before long, you won't even need drugs for it!

    No gym needed!

Fie on gyms! Fie I say! Check out the workout videos you can stream or get on DVD from Netflix. Heck, there's even a lot on youtube and most of those workout shows (there was one about sky gym or something?) have good videos online too. Or just do some power walking in town. Whatever it is, just try to be active. The key is to not let ANYTHING be an excuse. If you're eating crap, track it anyway. Building and changing habits is the first step and 'I'll get going tomorrow' is the opposite of that.

Time to kick it into gear

all right, kiddo. you're back home... time to start tracking all your food and weighing yourself every day. it may seem a little nutty to weigh yourself every day, but i think the small successes (1/2 lbs here, 3/4 lbs there) are very powerful motivation when you're getting going. no excuses, just awesomeness!

    Cookie monster

Good points, all. If you find yourself eating in secret, trying to force yourself to be accountable by tracking every little thing (at least at first) will probably help. And, no, you don't have to avoid ALL sweets. You can see my log, I had two biscotti last night at Zina's. Yum. I'm just saying, in regards to something you may drink every day, maybe tone down the sweet factor. If you start your day with sweet, it's hard to not want to keep up the fix. It's just how we're wired evolutionarily.
