    Thanks for accepting to be a motivator of mine. You popped up because of where we live, I thought your name was similar to mine (formykids vs. fitformy40th) so I thought we might be able to help each other. I've also lost about 30 lbs (I weigh in at home tomorrow) so keep up the great work and let's motivate each other!

    12 lbs! what in the world was I thinking? I had a couple of good weeks along with a couple of not so good weeks! Anyway 6lbs is 6lbs, right? I passed a small mile stone this month, well two sort of. I've lost more than 25 lbs. (26 lbs.) and I have less than 100 lbs. to go (98 lbs.). A goal is a goal, I'll take it!! I've taken Stacy and Cayden's advice and have concentrated on cardio over weight lifting. I am really enjoying bike riding, a padded pair of bike shorts is probably one of the top 5 purchases I've ever made! I feel good, my clothes feel loose, (they actually fit now), and I have more energy, but the weight loss has slowed a bit. I've set a short term goal since "only another 98 lbs." feels a little daunting. I'd like to be at or under 300 lbs. by the end of April 4/30 which is a Friday, I'm also moving my official weigh in days to Fridays beginning this week. with any luck I can lose 13 lbs. in the next 6 & 1/2 weeks!! I'm not sure I have ever exercised as much in my life! I have a great support group and would not be able to do this with out you, thank you, see you on 4/30!

    Another month down! I'm a couple days late with this entry, I'm trying to stick with weighing in 1 time a week and today was that day. So from 1/13 to 2/15 I lost 10 lbs. It's great to reach my goal, but in the back of my mind that goal I set last month was kind of a minimum. So since beginning this on 12/12 I've lost 20 lbs!! I use two 10 lb weights at home, it's amazing how much 20 lbs. actually weighs!! The real hiccup this past month was Super bowl, I sat right next to the food and proceed to eat and drink for the better part of 4 hours, yikes! Not a good move, no weight loss that week! Thankfully Candi took a horrible picture of me in the foreground, a nice side profile! Now that's motivation :-) My biggest problem at this point seems to be working out on weekends, which seems to be the opposite of what I had anticipated. I get my 2 to 3 days during the week no problem, but I don't seem to be able to get my ass to the gym on the weekends. Another problem is beer, again, I do great during the week, but look out come Friday!! O.K., so lets talk goals, 3/16 will be the date (Tuesday), there's no Super bowl, so I'm setting this months goal at 12 lbs. BTW - I'm on pace to be at my goal weight on 12/23/10, a whole 2 days ahead of schedule!!

    Well somehow I met my goal for the first month. From 12/12 to 1/12 I lost 10 lbs. I have to say I'm a little proud of myself for actually losing the weight, but at the same time I'm a little disappointed. There were so many instances over the past month that I did not apply myself, or choose the correct foods, or just sat on the couch instead of working out. In order to keep up the 10lb average I need to lose more in these early months. For the next month I will need to apply myself more and take better advantage of the opportunities to work out as they arise. see you in 30 days, goal = at least another 10lbs!!
