About Me
I am a husband and father of two, a 8 year old son and 4.5 year old daughter. Now that my kids are always on the go, it is time for me to lose the weight to keep up with them and to be the role model they need. I need to be the example of a healthy lifestyle for them.

Ok. Mind is made up! today is the day! I started the kick in the pants with a 30 mile bike ride and accepted the paleo lifestyle challenge. I have also joined a gym that is open the hours that I will be able to go... mostly late night after the family is asleep. 5-1-11... off to a good start!

need a swft kick in the pants....
Man, after falling off the wagon over the winter, I am finding it harder than ever to get back on track.... I need a swift kick in the pants. I have started back riding again and am trying to work in weights to help burn some calories while I am not working out. It is just tough! I want to do a couple more triathlons this year and several 100+ mile bike rides... I have got to get motivated!

Congratulations on the ride
The ride sounds great and it's impressive you're ready to saddle up for another so soon. I look forward to buying a bike and maybe doing some Triathlons or Century rides next summer. Sadly, biking is more of a 3 season sport in Colorado.

MS 150 - 2010 is in the books...
Well, I just completed the MS 150 bike ride... 2 days 168.2 miles... first day was a century ride (100 miles) down to Daytona from Jacksonville. Second day was from Daytona back home at 68.2 miles. In total I burned 14,000 calories. Was an awesome ride and was so proud at my strength. i was able to ride 22mph+ for a majority of the ride. May try and do another century ride here in 3 weeks. I am hoping these past two days will kick me back into gear to lose some more weight and push even harder on the bike!
