GenaM's Journal
Back At It
Well, after two crazy weeks of professional due dates and children's swim classes, I'm back at the workout. I went walking on Saturday, and then yesterday (Monday), I worked out my chest and triceps and walked with my husband. It feels great! I already feel more energy. Yeah!

Off the Wagon
It's been a very stressful week. I have so much work to do that I'm having a hard time making healthy food choices. And Coke is definitely a trigger food for me. I've had one each day this week. I'm frustrated, but I am trying not to beat myself up too much. At least I've continued to exercise. If it weren't for Chris I'd have fallen off of that wagon too. So I guess it's time to pick myself up and jump back on...

Some lower back pain
I feel a bit of strain on my lower back. I'll watch it over the next few days. Chris found a weight lifting belt in the garage today, so I may try wearing that during some of my days. I hope it's a passing thing. On the up side, I think I'm getting my nutrition more in line. I actually met my calorie goal yesterday. I've also met several other goals--fat, carbs, protein, etc.--over the past week. I haven't hit them all on the same day, but it's a work in progress. I'm encouraged though.

Lost a pound
Well, even though I felt like I total blew the nutrition portion of my HRC, I still lost a pound and I'm definitely seeing definition in my arms and stomach. WooHoo! I also found out that my body fat is already in the normal range. I was disappointed that it wasn't less, but then I saw that it was ok, and well, now I feel ok about it.

Walking Outside
I walked outside today following my weight workout, and loved it. It's so refreshing to be outside, even if it was over 90-degrees. I just made sure to drink lots of water before and after. I think I'll try to do this more often.
