Time for a fresh start
Getting diagnosed with colorectal cancer in Dec 2010 really set me back. I've went through radiation, surgery, and two rounds of chemo. My muscles are so weak, my fingers and toes are numb from the chemo, and I don't have not much energy. I doing better though and I feel with God's healing powers that I am going to be fine. I just need a few months of recovery time. I'm ready to slowly start walking, working with dumb bells, and eating healthier.

Great Job!
Great job yesterday! Regarding your questions about paleo vs. 4HB - both are great, but the issue that I have with 4HB is the cheat day. Tim said himself that he only added this cheat day so that people could psychologically stay on the diet. Also, 4HB allows legumes like beans and peanuts whereas paleo diet not. I say go with the paleo diet b/c the cheat day can really make you feel ill and derail your progress. Again, amazing job!

Too many carbs
Hi! Hope you are well. Based on your food logs, here are my suggestions: I know that you are eating weight watchers and smart foods, but those don't help you lose weight. It is hard to wrap your head around, right? They are supposed to be diet products, but the truth is that they have too many carbs to help you shed fat. Excess carbs in the diet cause our body to store fat. The weight watchers brownies for example have 100g of carbs a serving. To lose fat, you should keep your carbs to 100g per day. Also, remember that fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do. So, if you keep your carbs to under 100g per day, you have to supplement with protein and fats. Also, get your carbs from fruits and vegetables, not starches, sugars, and desserts. This can be a hard transition both mentally and emotionally. When people realize that they need to make this change, often they are like, "ok, well there is an entire list of things that I can't eat, what CAN I eat?" But it will help you break through your plateau. Have you heard of the paleo diet?
