Day 11
Happy Thursday. Well I have admit, I have been feeling great lately. Working out, doing my 5K iphone app to prep me for my first 5K in may. I am running and with ease, thus far. On my off days, I try to round it up with working out on the elliptical. Which I can really get into. For some reason it just goes with the beat of the music i blast. The down side to all this..... I'm not losing like I'd hoped. I know, I know, when you work out, you build muscle and that weights more, etc, etc. But...I want to see results !! Like I said, i feel great, i have energy. When I take my day off and do not exercise, i am sluggish all damn day. If i dont work out in the morning, by the afternoon i am shot and push myself to work out. So i know and see that it works. But I just wish i'd be losing more weight. I have lowered my calorie intake even more than what daily burn suggested (2800 down to 2000). Some days I eat less than my allowance, other day's i'm right on target. Trying to shock my system. My goal is this: I cut my calories. When I reach a plateau, then I figured i'd really watch what I eat and pay attention to the 40, 30 ,30 rule to make sure i'm getting the right amounts of everything. I guess I just thought that cutting my calories would work for me. I can not be at this plateau already. Can I ?

Day 4
So i was a little upset with myself yesterday. I had so much going on that I did not get time to work out. I know they say you should have a day of rest, especially when you are first starting out, but I am still upset that I never got to do my workout. Good thing is that I gave my chins a break. They were a little sore from the running. As the day progressed I thought I did really well with food and calories. When it came to dinner time we were so exhausted and decided to order out. I had Pizza and about an hour or two afterward I have to say my stomach was upset. Carb overload? So then with not working out and possible carb overload, I was disappointed I fell back into what I'd call the old me. Today...a whole new day. Another busy day, but I made time to workout and still am under my calories for the day. It's amazing how good you feel after a good work out. I really notice the difference. I dont nap in the afternoon. I keep busy and am more ambitious to do things. WHY haven't I worked out daily all my life ??

Day 2.... Jan. 19, 2010
Well I have to say, Yesterday I felt great. After a busy weekend I was worried about falling into a slump, but I overcame and conquered. I worked my 24 hour shift and was able to work out in the morning which kept me going all day long. Usually I nap if possible at work, but not when i work out. So I was happy about that. Today after working my shift, I will be honest, I was tired when I got home. I had a decent breakfast which I uploaded here and I took a nap. After my nap I tried to motivate my wife and daughter by showing them this program. I guess I was a little disappointed in their reactions to it. Especially by my daughter who has been claiming she needs to diet as well. My wife, I believe, I hooked her on this program. She's been updating her profile and adding foods to her favorites. At the time, I really didnt know this so because I felt depressed (because they weren't excited over this like I was), I went down to our home gym and worked out. I think the depression pushed me. At this moment, I'm feeling great. And as I stated, my wife is hooked, thus far on dailyburn. The best thing about working out...I wasn't too happy with my lunch. It filled me at the time, but now i'm hungry so I think i'll make myself a sandwich.

Day 1... Jan. 18, 2010
Greetings, Today is day one for me using this program, although it is not the first day of my diet. I actually started about a month ago and I have lost 13 lbs to date. I usually like to work out using our elliptical machine, I feel that I can do a lot more and burn more calories then the typical treadmill. However, I have promised a friend that I would run a 5K with her on Memorial Day and I have discovered an iphone app called c25k. (couch to 5K in 9 weeks). This programs is a neat program. It starts you off with a 5 min brisk walk followed by 20 mins of alternating walking ( 90 sec) and running ( 60 sec) then followed by another 5 min cool down. Each week, your training increases. Today, was day one for me on this program. Boy I hate running. I actually had to skip two running sessions, that is how out of shape I am. But I survived the 30 mins. It was actually hard on me then doing 40-45 mins on my elliptical machine.
