Welcome back!!!
So glad to hear from you again. My sister-in-law did the Hood to Coast like 20 years ago. She is still a runner. I will be moving to Corbett, OR the end of Sept. I will be living next door to my s-i-l, so I may start running, but usually I stick to walking d/t screws in my ankle. Running is too much impact. I can't wait to get back to the NW to get some serious outside time before the weather gets too bad. I am so glad you're back from your DB hiatus.

Hood to Coast
I did the Hood to Coast "Mother of all Relays" with a group of co-workers this weekend. Mt Hood to the beach at Seaside, Oregon. Thousands of runners, 12 runners per team, 3 legs each, 200 miles to cover in about 35 hrs. It was fun. I've been switching from walking to running lately. I also climbed Mt. Defiance in the Gorge the week before. I wasn't even sore. Yay!

Thank you for becoming my motivator. I believe we probably have a lot in common. We are the same height although I currently weigh more and have set my goal for where you are, my goal is really where you are going. I am currently in Oceanside, CA where my mother is on Hospice, but my husband is in Corbett, OR which as you might know is also in the Gorge, but on the other side of the river. I am a retired RN. I love to walk, as I noticed you do also, however, most of my walking is on my treadmill. I am thrilled for you that your BMI has dropped into the normal range. Mine just dropped into the overweight range and I almost cried I was so happy I am no longer obese. It has been a wonderful journey and I look forward to sharing it with you:) Cindy
