About Me
I run mostly on greenways (and avoid treadmills like the plague). Working on training for my first triathlon and adventure relay race!

Race completed
Completed my second Half Marathon. And improved my time by almost 15 minutes! 2:15:05 I definitely recommend the Detroit Free Press Marathon if anyone wants a great fall race!!

Countdown to Races
Less than 2 weeks until the 15k on the 26th, then about 5 weeks until the half marathon Oct. 18. So glad it's finally cooled off in time for my harder runs.

Walking goal.
I'm not sure I really met my goal. I just picked a time duration that it took me to walk 6 miles because I was walking around Monterey and San Francisco. It's definetely time for some serious workout shoes.

New shoes, new goal
Bought some new running shoes today. Let's hope it helps move me out of my running funk quicker. Also, I'm planning on running the Detroit Half-Marathon in October. I will officially become an international runner in this race; the course crosses over into Canada for a few miles.

Learning to Run
I would like some tips on learning to become a runner. I am overweight and since the weather is warming up here in Canada I would like to get outside and get started. Any tips?
