    AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

    I was having a great run today when I tore something in my left calf. It's been giving me trouble off an on for awhile now, but today right at four miles it let go and I couldn't even walk. Fortunately I was only 0.2 miles from home, but it took me about 15 minutes to walk that far. It's REALLY hurting. Hopefully it'll heal quickly; I plan on staying off it for a week at least. On a lighter note, I managed 47 pushups *after* the muscle pull!

    Mental Note

    Never celebrate your accomplishments with a brownie and a Five Guys hamburger on the same day! I managed to lose my 5 pounds as of yesterday, but that burger made me gain a bit back so it put me back up over. However, I'm still under 130, which is really the ultimate goal, so I'm not complaining at all. I've found that I can do it if I do a few more exercises, or run just a little bit farther - and still eat enough to not be hungry all the time.

    shame, shame

    I haven't run for the past two days. Yesterday was planned but today wasn't. Unfortunately a problem with the router so I had to fix that instead of running. At least I got my weight exercises in though.

    Goal Change in Order

    I think I might have to make a goal change here. When I started this, my goal was to lose 5 pounds, in order to look better and wear a bikini in public. However, I have lost 4 pounds now and I just can't seem to get down that last pound. And, I am starting to look pretty darn good, all things considered. So, I'm going to make my goal "no cottage cheese and no jiggle" rather than a specific weight. Since I wasn't overweight to begin with (nowhere near it), I think that is a more healthy goal and will probably keep me from driving myself insane with obsessing over "what I weigh today". If I can manage another pound or so I'll be happy, but hovering around 130 really isn't a bad thing when you're 5'8" and have an athletic body that looks good. Right?

    One thing to say...

    BLAH! I'm feeling pretty good though, despite not feeling like I'm making any real progress.
