    Successful Trip

    We spent the last two weeks helping move my son from Grand Rapids, MI to his new job in Medford, OR. This meant eating breakfast from the motel's unlimited buffet and all other meals at restaurants, mostly fast food places. In addition, there was generally little time to exercise. Many days were spent driving across country. I kept track of my food, generally eating more than my plan and exercised, mostly walking, when I could. I ACTUALLY LOST A LITTLE OVER 2 POUNDS ON THE TRIP! This gives me some hope that I will be able to maintain my new weight. :)

    How is it going

    Dwight? I see you are still within 5 pounds of your goal weight (Great Work). I agree with Lila- you will be fine so long as you stay within that 5 lbs range. How do you feel today? I just realized that you live in Inver Grove Heights; my step-daugher lived there for 3 years about 3 years ago. We would visit every year around the 4th of July and go to Taste of Minnesota; as well as visit during several holidays. I love the area.

    Thanks again for the message- you are so right about the exercise thing, taking it very easy now. Thankfully I'm doing physical therapy and that will help guide me with what I'm able to do. I'm still working on getting my food intake, just haven't felt like eating much. You are so right about nutrition, right now it's the only thing I can easily control health wise.
