    RE: Motivation...

What's a BBW? Finding why we workout is actually key to your success but it's an easier find then you think. Don't work out for the cuties, don't work out for the family or your friends. Work out for you. You KNOW what you want, so keep at it. In the end, you will have sooo many payoffs. Also, cuties, family and friends change, they are inconstant particles in this moving world, you are your most constant. With that it will be easier to keep at it. And I think I know what you mean, all my clothes don't fit well anymore and my undies fall and NONE of my pants fit anymore, but I personally still feel like a million pounds :( Ah body dismorphia you evil minion.

    What I does

So I "try" to ride my bike to work (its up hill) and then I try to work out for 30 minutes at the Gym. but I say 'try' again because I get lazy ;.; At work I do heavy lifting and lots of walking. Which would be awesome but I still hate it :( But on lunches and breaks I eat raisins, grapes, bananas, apples, etc. I rarely have something bad. If I do have something bad i keep in mind the calories. Like i craved chocolate milk about 3 weeks ago and the total cal was like 600! But I just drank half, then i drank the other half another day : D! (so only 300 instead!) At night (although not recommended) I eat a LATE dinner. but i keep it healthy with beans and pita or soup or even grapes if they would stop going bad after like one day :( But I have learned 2 things that have helped me A LOT in this life long battle 1) If you slip and eat badly, don't say that you will start again tomorrow. Instead say, "It's ok, I will start again right now!" Because it will prevent you from eating more and keep you motivated. 2) Don't deprive your self. I think it's your subconscious that rebels against you. Just be careful how much you eat, when you have that crave. Along the same lines, we typically crave something because our body is deficient of something. If you want friend chicken, maybe you just need more protein? ummmmm I think thats it. Oh and I recently found out that those bike ridey things (stationary bikes) with the video games on them are a demotivator. Instead I resort to the plain old bike with no fancyness and read my comics and study my MTG cards.

    Motivation...

I've been trying to fight my way through P90X so far... just recently hit day 60, and I'm still finding myself struggling to find the motivation to continue. I can tell I'm losing weight from how my clothes fit now, but it doesn't feel like it and doesn't look like it from the 30-day photo intervals. I also had someone on a dating site call me a "BBW," so that didn't help much either, because it made me feel like all the work I've put into this has been in vain. It seems like a good place to give up (I twisted my knee a few days ago thanks to my dog getting underfoot). Part of me wonders why I even try sometimes...

About Me

Hi there. The name's Nicole (or Zadrya, if you prefer to use a nickname). I'm 26 and living in St. Kitts while attending veterinary school. While down here, I realized there was a lot about me that I wanted to change--my weight and appearance being one of the major things. I've had many setbacks and many depressing situations (both in the weight loss and academically) that don't help, but I'm trying...
