Thanks
For the support - good to see you still plugging away. I now need to get back into a routine, I was busy but not a good excuse to be lazy. I plan to try an intense bodyweight workout routine for a couple months and see what happens. Are you into push-ups by any chance? If so, maybe we could try a friendly challenge?

I had a good laugh
With your words of support - I really appreciate it but the reality of it is that I had gained two pounds on the week-end (beer and BBQ's - summertime get togethers) and I just stabilized back! It's actually a bit frustrating, as I normally eat very healthy and exercise a good amount (particularly with the weights) but my weight rarely fluctuates ... need to see the numbers go down. Good luck with your weigh-in on Thursday - I'm sure yours will be more honest than mine :-)

Thanks for the motivation
I spent yesterday up in the mountains hiking and realized that, although I may be healthy from a technical perspective, I really need to lose some weight... I'm huffing and puffing up those mountains nowadays. Having an objective of 40 lbs (approx. 10 lbs per month loss) is ambitious but doable ... we shall see in December.

SL 5x5 Adv...
How long does it take you to do this routine? Are you pretty happy with it? I have been doing a free weight circuit routine for a couple months at the recommendation of my trainer but now ready to get back into a more traditional weight lifting routine and the Strong Lift philosophy seems quite popular. Wouldn't mind your thought on the overall routines...

Curious...
Do you prefer working out in the morning, afternoon or evening? The reason I ask is that I don't have much option but to workout in the evenings after work, but sometimes when I get a chance to do a morning workout it is tough at first but makes me feel great and eat better for the rest of the day.
