South Beach Diet finally results!
OK, I did phase 1 of South Beach and didn't really get anywhere that I hadn't been before with just running and a few days of careful eating. But finally today I cracked the glass bottom. Lost 3 lbs in 2 days! Probably some of it was water weight but still I'm happy, I didn't even run yesterday because it was my off day.

OK... back for another go
Hi Everyone, I decided this month to give it another go. I've been actively running and working on my fitness goals but with setbacks. Hope everyone is doing well! Jim

Mt. Rainier!!!
I successfully summited Mt. Rainier via the technically challenging Kautz Glacier route. :) I'm very happy and will now take some time to decide on my next goal. Peace everyone! Thanks for your support!

I have no question you will tackle Mt. Rainier. Your dedication will take you there!! Things are touch and go here in Tennessee- I am a medical mystery- been fighting this Knee/Hamstring injury for 3 years now. I don't run anymore- I have replaced it with biking to reduce impact. However, my Hamstring is much worse than my knee now and the Orthopaedic doctor and my Physical Therapist are out of ideas. So, I keep doing my P.T. exercises and hoping for a miracle. We'll see what happens!! Take care! Eric

Hey Eric, Thanks for asking! My running is going much better. I'm running a 10K on Saturday and hopefully, if I can meet my time goal I'll be able to put it on the back burner. I need to get serious about my weight training and my hiking workouts. I need to be able to ascend 3000 feet in 2 hours with a 60 lbs pack in about three months... Its hard staying motivated without some occasional trips to the mountains. I just have to keep thinking about standing on the summit of Mt. Rainier this summer! Jim PS. Sorry to drag on about my stuff. How is it going for you this spring!
