About Me
My friends and I just started the '300 club' - we're going to look like the Spartans in the 300 movie in about 6 months. I'm about one month in. Still can't really see the abs, but arms are a tiny bit bigger than before, and I'm eating better and drinking more water than ever before. If anyone has tips, send them my way (unless it involves eating meat ... I just went from vegan to vegetarian to Pescetarian in order to meet my nutritional goals)

push-ups are weird
Now I'm struggling with doing 40 push-ups. I'm not concerned. it's just strange how that can fluctuate. Makes me wonder how much of performance in energy level and how much is strength. In retrospect, I don't think I've ever had much of an issue with strength, but maybe with energy level not being high enough.

topping out at 45 push ups - I stand corrected!
I'm currently increasing my push up count at a rate of 10 per day. I haven't been able to do this up until this point, and I think the challenge I'm enrolled in is really keeping me motivated. Love it!

topping out at 35 push-ups
Sometimes I think it's more mentally-driven fatigue than physical fatigue when I start losing steam on push-ups. I have a high threshold for pain, but do not seem to have that 'ability' that some people have to push themselves to the limit. Oh well ... everyone is different. I suppose I should just be happy I'm alive and have the luxury of having time to work out, and appreciate the humbling experience. Push-ups will be easy when I'm dead! Reminder to self: figure out how much weight I'm pushing up next time I'm near a scale. Right now I'm calculating it at 70lbs, (just over 50% of my body weight) but that's probably too low.
