kadesoto's Journal
179 by April 9
Today starts a diet where I am to make it to 179, or normal weight for my BMI, by April 9. This gives me approximately 40 days to reach my goal. Although I'm not sure my 187 weigh-in was accurate, this means that I have eight pounds to lose over those 40 days, or approximately 0.2 lbs/d or 1.4 lbs/wk. I think that I can do it. I am going to redouble my workout efforts but mostly ensure my diet stays in check between now and then for the best chance of success.

Yep. I've lost 27 pounds so far with this new approach (see below).

A New Approach
About a week into the simplest diet I've ever tried-- eating less. Trying to cut down to 1000 - 1300 calories per day. Really haven't felt any more hungry than usual, but it's my understanding that the tough part will be keeping the weight off (and starting to weight train) once I near my target weight.

+2
Been a while since my last Gyminee weigh-in, and the difference isn't pretty. It's okay, though, I think I'll get back down there without too much trouble!

First HIIT
Had my first morning of high intensity interval training today. Was pretty rough: the extreme cold and intensity of running (even though it was only a few minutes) proved quite a shock to my system. I wasn't breathing normally for 10-20 minutes after completion of the exercise. Yikes!
