So I fell off the wagon

Would like to get back to basics this weekend. Change in schedule really hurt my focus. Time to reel it in.

Fell off the wagon, but jogging along side, trying

So this is where I normally throw in the towl, and this weekend I started slipping. We got caught up in spring cleaning and preperations for going camping that I skipped meals and workouts. I am sure I still got in a workout, considering at the end of the day I could hardly move, but the diet was horrible and I am sure my body went into shock. This bled into Sunday and Monday with no workout and bad diet. I decieded yesturday I was not going to slip back into old habbits and that I want to stick this out as well as pushing to find better fallback options in the future. Yesturday, I made the shopping list, and Jim helped me by doing the shopping and got my workout in. I felt weak, but am ready to come back strong. My old habbits are not something I want to fall back into and were not helping me to obtain what I want out of life, this is a struggle, but I need to keep on fighting the good fight.

    P90X Begins

I did day 1 of P90X! My current objective is to complete phase 1, the first 30 days of P90X and see how that goes. I will supplement that exercise program with a calorie counting diet of 1250 - 1600 calories per day of mostly whole foods and as little processed stuff as possible. I am proud that I completed my 30 day jumpstart program (biggest loser book), and am feeling confident going in to P90X. I took my day one pictures, and see that I still have a long way to go. Every day I am feeling stronger and I have high expectations for where I want to be. Just have to tell myself every day these choices are important.

    Sour crappy milk

So I have always gone for the cheepest 1 % milk at the store and recently I have found that the milk goes bad before its "sell by" date. So I end up with a half gallon of sour crappy milk. This lead me to the pursuit of something better. I decided to convert to a half gallon of organic (fat free) milk. The start of my organic foods indulgence. The organic fat free milk so far tastes way better and a few days in, it is still not sour, another bonus! After learning about omega 3s and omega 6s, I am thinking that may also apply to most dairy. I may fully convert over to organic whereever possible. I am thinking maybe if I buy better quality, I can bypass the quantity factor and nurish my body with what it needs and not all the filler.

    Organic eggs have less calories

Learned with my first log of my organic omega-3 eggs they also have 10 less calories than nonorganic eggs. Good reasons to switch to organic eggs: 1) the spiritual idea that the chickens producing these eggs are not always cooped up in a dark crowded cage for their whole life makes me feel better supporting that farmer and the consumption of what that animal creates 2) many organics are on a vegan or free range diet where they create omega 3s in place of omega 6s ( omega 3s are "good fats" that are easier for your body to break down, this also applies to organic meats ). 3) less calories, just learned this today. I am sold on organic eggs, they are more expensive but with these new facts I think it is worth it.
