Whered that enthusiasm go?
Wow, rereading my last couple posts is a punch in the gut. I've done nothing but slack off all summer. Ive ran here and there, but nothing has been consistent but my weight gain. I officially felt fat again this weekend :( No use crying over it though, Ill just have to get back on the horse, starting with weekly visits to this site and a new 100 mile challenge. I hope to trade some of the weight Ive gained for some of that enthusiasm Ive lost over the past 5 months. With my 25 birthday come and gone, along with all hopes of reaching my goal, I have to set a new one. I day 10 lbs by new years eve. That should put me back to where I was at the end of my race and ready to tackle the new year with a new goal :)

A new low!
My weights been fluctuating for so long, that it's SO nice to see a new low on the scale. It must be post-race burn off (I made that up) because I definitely wasn't very active this week. My foot still hurts and my toes are so sad, that Ive been taking it easy. Still been getting in my pushups (look out 100 count!) and biking in, but soccer, volleyball and running have taken a backseat for the moment. I didnt think Id say this, but Ive missed running this past week. Hopefully I can heal up before I forget that I liked it!

Oh carb loading, how I will miss thee....
Now that my race is finally over, I can get back to working out (ironic isnt it?). I will definitely miss eating whatever I wanted in order to "carb load" before long runs, but my feet are going to appreciate this break. Ive officially gained and lost the same 5 pounds since january 24, so now it is back to business. I will lose the last 10-12lbs (depending on the day) before my 25th birthday. That gives me a mere 12ish weeks to get it done. Game on.
