It seems Gyminee was key in your motivation! That's great to hear since staying motivated is often the biggest reason we tend to stay inactive. Good luck with your health and fitness goals. Feel free to contact me (I'm "BeFitt" in Gyminee) if you have any other questions. :)

Gyminee Experience
Working with Gyminee was a very interesting experience for me. Logging in my food a regular basis really made me more conscience of what I eat. Before, I would eat more when I was bored, stressed, or if something just tasted really good. Now, I’ve learned to think about it first and ask myself what exactly I put into my body. It also helped me to start looking on the back of foods to see their content in fats, carbohydrates, protein, etc. It’s been a motivator to help me eat right. When I logged my workouts, it also helped motivate me to do more. I was able to see how much I actually worked out and helped me learn what I did so that I could improve on in the future – length, intensity, type, regularity, etc. It helped keep me accountable to working out regularly. Yes Gyminee helped me achieve some of my health-related goals. I have been eating more fruits, vegetables, and lean meats than I did before. Tracking my nutrition really helped with this because I knew what I was putting into my body. It also helped me reach my goals of working out for at least 30 minutes a day. Gyminee helped because it helped keep me accountable, encouraged me, and also showed me new workout programs and exercises when I got bored or wanted to change what I was doing. This helped me stay motivated in working out at least 30 minutes a day. Yes I think I will continue to use Gyminee. It’s been really helpful for me. I probably will keep this account, but remove some of the school stuff. I’m glad I learned how to use a Gyminee account. I liked the process of tracking food and exercise online. It helped keep me motivated.

Regarding your comments in the forums this week, you did a good job balancing the facts with encouragement. You addressed topics like stretching and calories (3500=1lb, etc) which we've discussed in class. :) Just make sure that when you are posting suggestions (like take a warm bath to avoid soreness) you back these up with references (because it is believed that COLD water/baths alleviate muscle discomfort due the fact that it constricts blood vessels). Anyway, regarding the question you posted about pilates - be sure to go back and check out the responses you've received. Some good encouragement there... :)

It seems you're doing a great job keeping up with your nutrition and exercise logs - consistency is good. What have you learned by keeping track of your food and activity over that past few weeks? Also, I know many people can be swamped with homework and often skip out on exercise - but you gave me great feedback on how to combat this excuse and still meet the daily recommendation of 30 minutes a day. However, regarding your motivations to you GymBuddies, a little variety would have been nice instead of saying the same thing to everyone - however, if it kept them motivated, that's all that matters! Just remember, the more relevant and authentic the feedback, the better. :)
