I certainly agree that logging nutrition and exercise for at least six weeks not only helps you be aware of your habits (initially) but forces you to begin modifying your behaviors in order to reach those goals (over time). I'm happy to hear that this component of the class was beneficial for you. Since i only use HealthyBee to connect with students currently enrolled in my courses, if you'd like to remain in touch and motivate each other, feel free to send a GymBuddy request to my personal account here on Gyminee 'BeFitt'. Otherwise, good luck with your health/fitness endeavors! :)

You really added informative content to the public forums last week. I especially found the Indian Food packet suggestion interesting for the question on protein/vegetarianism. Where can you find those? What is the name? Anyway, how is your exploration of yoga coming along? Did you ever end up trying a kundalini class? I prefer vinyasa or bikram (heated), myself. :)

Thank you for the motivation and encouraging me and other GymBuddies to continue with their routines. Also, I really enjoyed your contribution in the discussions on "Motivation to Move" - it sounds like you have a terrific support system in your life that will help challenge you and encourage you to maintain both your health and fitness-related efforts. Keep up the good work!

    Using Gyminee

I definitely learned a lot this semester. I didn’t realize my diet was so high in carbs and low in protein. By seeing what my meals added up to I was able to make changes so that my diet is more balanced. It was extremely helpful for me to see the breakdown of the groups (protein, carbs, fats, and calories). I am more of a visual person, so that really helped everything to sink in. The workout log was very helpful, I know that I can get lazy and not workout as much as I should, but actually seeing my workouts broken down was extremely motivating. It was a little spot light on where I am lacking and was enough to get me moving. I absolutely love Gyminee. I have already recommended it to my friends and people at my gym. I found all the facet of the site to be very helpful and instrumental in keeping me on the right track. I don’t think I have ever stayed motivated in a workout program for as long (and consistent) as I have while on Gyminee. I definitely plan on keeping my Gyminee account and actively using it. I find it so interesting to see everything pertaining to my fitness goals being broken down into graphs and charts. I think some of the other health classes at Mcc would do better if they incorporated Gyminee into the curriculum.
