kungfukeif gained 6 lbs!
About Me
Years of being a cog in the machine; forced to reside in the cube farm, has deprived me of sunlight, and force fed me junk food. Thus I have packed on pounds and become allergic to sunlight. Okay the sunlight part was a stretch, but the junk food. . . Freakin free vending. Well now I have some pounds to shed. A meat cleaver seems a bit excessive, so I figured I would try eating right and working out. Just like my Grand-Pappy would say. He's 98 and still kickin it.

MyFitnessPal
Have you tried MyFitnessPal? Seems like a more comprehensive, better-updated tool than Dailyburn...

Not doing great
Thanks for asking though, I am dedicating myself to climbing back on the old horse. I went through a tough year which is really no excuse for being lazy. Thanks for checking in on me. I think I will have the most success if I get back on DB on a really regular basis :)

I'm okay,
thanks for asking! When I recently came back on DB I immediately fell back into my old trap of getting swept up into doing all these challenges. It was just nuts, it's like I had no control. Challenges are not more important than my health and well-being! So I needed a little time to do some soul searching about what it is that I really want. I think I might get it now. :) So you recently bought a squat cage? That's very cool! That takes up a decent amount of space right? You work out in a basement or garage?

Title...
So if you're seeing results with the amount weight lifted, but weight is still not dropping...maybe you can experiment and see what happens if you one of carbs, fat, or protein. Just checked out fitocracy...this seems like the app that Dailyburn SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Too bad there's no nutrition tracking. That's the one really cool aspect about Dailyburn is being able to cross-check certain metrics with each other.

Pizza
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I totally expect to have some weeks without progress, so I'm not worried about it. I know even across a week there are going to be some fluctuations, and there's room for changes if I need to make them. Although I'm doing some weight training now, once I get closer to my weight goal, I'm definitely going to focus more on building strength, so always good to see you making progress there as inspiration.
