    I have no idea if this is how you reply to the thing you dropped on my side of the internet. Fingers crossed this ends up somewhere near you. To answer your question, a "50 calorie other" is 50 calories worth of some variety of cookie I don't know the manufacturer of. It's also about a forkful and a half of my dad's seafood & rice somethingchacallit that I wanted to try at lunch. It's a versatile food, the 50 calorie other.

    Getting Back on the Weight Loss Horse

    I joined the "Ultimate Slimdown Challenge" at work, which is a 3 month weight loss team event. 8% weight loss gets the most points, which is 20 lbs for me. This week I'm formulating my plan. While I'm working on that, my goals for this week are: 1. To minimize my Starbucks addiction. Previously, I was drinking a large in the morning and a medium in the afternoon. The first week, I will be drinking only a medium in the morning. The ultimate goal is to only have a tall drink irregularly. 2. To drink more water. First week's goal is 5 servings. 3. To keep my calories under 1800 a day.

    Sleep (or lack thereof)

    My inability to get a full nights sleep is making it difficult to have the energy to go to the gym. This is high on my list of things I need to fix sooner rather than later.

    Riding the Red Seas

    Okay, I can stop freaking out about the sudden gain on my measurements the other day. I'm officially doing my monthly womanly duty by carrying a small ocean of water retention. So, good. Also, this will lead to some odd cravings and variances in my diet, which is okay, because we ladies actually burn more calories at this time to compensate. Bring on the chocolate!
