About Me
Middle age guy trying to recapture some of his youth and get back in shape. It has taken many years to put on the weight and I don't expect an overnight miracle -- but do expect results through persistence and staying on track with my fitness goals - which include running and mountain biking with my wife and our dog!

Frustrated
In that I have eaten well these past few days and yet I actually gained weight!!! I need to stick to a very strict meal plan for a couple months while starting a moderate level of aerobic activities ... then progressive increase in exercise levels and balance with appropriate nutrient intake - easier said than done obviously.

Persistence...
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. ~ Calvin Coolidge
