About Me
I fully ruptured my right achilles tendon a year and a half ago which really saw me gain quite a lot of weight (about 20lbs) since I couldn't exercise for nearly a year. To be honest with myself, I could have gone back to moderate exercise a lot sooner, but it became a convenient excuse. I topped the scales at 15 st 5lbs in April 2009 and I am now just under 14 st. My goal is to get to 12.5 st by end March 2010. I am not following any silly diets - instead, I am really investing heavily in a lot of exercise, based mostly around spinning classes and now resistance training. I am keeping a very close eye on nutrition and despite a slightly sporadic December, am managing to lose around 1lb per week as long as I cut out alcohol.

oh oh.....totally lost my way again! But today is
yep - the scales don't lie unfortunately. Having done fantastically well and lost loads of weight, some major turbulence in my personal life has seen me gain pretty much all of it. It is so obvious to me why but I am really disappointed in myself. So, having used dailyburn so well and so religiously for a while, I have decided to re-invigorate things and try again. So, here goes......

original goal met!
Wow! today, i officially made my goal weight of getting under 80kg - 12 stone 7lbs! a major milestone really but the funny thing is, it seems completely normal to just keep going with my routine. New goal is to get to 11.5 stone. I think that is perfectly achievable, but just need to keep the discipline.

Bahamas here we come!!
well, well, well! As if I didn't need any further motivation, i discovered the other day that I have managed to make our company's sales incentive program trip for 2010, which is an all expenses paid trip for me and my wife to go the Bahamas!!! It's only for 4 days, but it is still absolutely awesome and it gives us both a mega incentive to get ripped for the beach. This has prompted me to step up the training plan and also set some new targets. Watch this space!

crap at updating
for some reason, i've been quite poor at logging my nutrition this week. I've actually been pretty disciplined in what i have been eating, so not a major issue and hope to get it back together next week.
