Step 1: No more soda
This is my first big goal. Historically, when I've tried to do this, I get migraines that last for a few weeks. This time, I'm doing an ultra-slow drop off in my soda intake. I'll already down to 2 a day. At this rate, I should be soda free within 10 days. The last time I totally went off soda (about 6 years ago), I dropped about 14 lbs in less than 2 weeks. Let's hope that happens this time as well.

Re-starting
I've got rather lazy but now I'm back. Working towards running a 4 miler in a few months. Summers are always super active for us anyway so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Encouraging.. but not really
Well, I worked out last night and didn't do anything different food wise today. So I'm up 2.5 lbs but my weigh in was post-dinner. We'll see how it goes over the week as I eat about the same and up my level of activity.

Workout #1
Fairly basic workout last night. 10 minutes treadmill, medicine ball trunk rotations, lots of stretching, a bit of light chest presses. Just trying to stay motivated early on by not killing myself at the gym. Heavy emphasis on stretching.
