About Me
I have a vision of myself walking on the beach this summer without a shirt on. My specific goal is to lose weight in order to do so I am starting to eat healthy foods. It is attainable because there will be no eating out at fast food places Lastly I want to give myself one month to lose at least 20 lbs. I beleive this is a realistic goal if I commit myself to doing this.

Additional posts
I am enjoying reading your additional posts because you are articulating other ways to keep active. From basketball to shopping, all of these activities add up... and you're right - they are the better alternative to staying at home, inactive! Keep up the good work. :)

No More Excuses
Your suggested alternatives for back pain are great... you position exercise as a fun way to build-in activity into your day and also encourage activities that are low impact! :) Back problems are one of the top chronic injuries people have and can be easily used to avoid being active. Fortunately, as you mentioned, there are plenty of ways to keep active and still avoid aggravating the back. NOTE: You should also mention, that before starting an exercise, the person w/ back pain should consult a physician so they know what types of activities to avoid. :)

Today I am going to lay Bobsod in my backyard I am sure it will give me a good workout. It is not a very big yard but I am looking foward to the challenge and also what it will look like when I'm done.

thursday
Today I did alot of walking around...Shopping! About three hours. So I actually stocked up on healthy foods as well as exercising, nothing to exciting but I feel ok with it because I didn't spend the day sitting around.

Title...
The most common I hear is I am too busy. My back hurts , I just can't do it. I don't need to exercise "I'm not fat". I chose the second excuse. I believe being inactive/lack of exercise can cause back pain so my first bit of advise is to sart by stretching you muscle. When you take the kids to the pool get in with them swimming it is a low key exercise unlike running that is good for you and keeps stress off your back., Walking is also a good way to exercise infact you can take your dog along, he'll love and you have company. Go for bike rides you can enjoy the scenery and this great Az. weather just think of it as an advanture not exercise.
