About Me
I did it! I promised my son and I kept my word. I succeeded in reaching a fit and healthy lifestyle and it feel so good. I'm now interested in weight training and building lean muscle--and learning how to perform all the exercises in The Big Book of Exercises. I wish all Daily Burners a successful journey.

lilamarie's Journal
I wish I was at my goal weight . . .
I have worked hard to lose weight and recognize my accomplishment, but I still have such a long way to go and I don't have much patience. I will not give up because I promised my son and I am determined to get in shape. It's strange though now when I look in the mirror I see myself as being so fat. I guess that is because for the last 7 years I wouldn't look at myself in the mirror. I don't think I ever perceived myself as being morbidly obese, but I was. Now I don't want to bear the moniker "overweight," but until I lose another 23 lbs. I must. But the day is nearing and I will be patient. Size 12 is not far off.

Good Morning and thank you
Good morning. Thank you for the motivational post this morning, I really appreciate it. I have to admit when I started on dailyburn you were one of my motivations to do well..yes, I admit, I was looking at other peoples "profiles" to see how they did, etc. Your attitude in your journal entry and how well you stuck with things somehow was inspirational...thus making you a great motivator. I think it is wonderful that you make a point of meeting both your nutrition and workout goals. So, thank you again, and have a great day.

Hi Mom
I haven't been using dailyburn too often, just watching what I eat as I go.I should start again though. I see you are doing well, keep it up!

Why I want to be a healthy weight
I am 59 years old, have a wonderful son and a job I love. In the last 8 years, I have gained 90 lbs and since April have lost 42 lbs. Only 45 lbs. to go. My goal is to be able to be healthy and fit and enjoy working and spending time with my family as I age. Daily Burn has been an extremely useful tool.
