lmarietrinchi's Journal
Sept to December a"No Go"
Fell off the wagon as it were. Took a while to adjust to my new job and I gradually spent less time working out for 4 months... Back at it for 2 weeks now and starting to feel capable again. Not at those old numbers yet, but I will be !!!

..hey its been a while
In spite of my lack on online logging of activity... I've been still at it 4-days a week w/ exercise and monitoring my food intake. But I will still have to credit this site for helping me form these good habits. In fact now I've turned several people onto it at work and they seem to be taking to it! So just for fun I decided to give myself the Insanity fit test tonight. Proud to say that YES - there was still improvement! So... here are the numbers: 1 Minute each - Max Reps Switch Kicks 100, Power Jacks 62, Power Knees 100, Power Jumps 39 , Globe Jumps 11, Suicide Jumps 15, Push-up Jacks 20, Low Plank Obliques 62. Not too shabby considering I've only done the insanity videos a handful of times since my last post..lol Ok all done patting myself on the back now... : )

Back on the X
Rounding up week 4 of a 5 to 6 day a week P90x/Insanity/Pilates fusion program - mostly the classic program substituting Plyo for one of the insanity videos. My body is changing, yet again. I'm sure I can give some credit to the better food planning this time around.

Looking for something new...
Lots of success with p90x and insanity, but I've grown bored with the workouts. The reality is that I'm a 4-day a week workout kind-of-person---- just cant manage or 6 or 7 days a week. I've recently spent more time using the YogaX (first 45 mins) and alternating with some random Pilates workouts (rented on You Tube). I've gotta say I feel really good (bendy & strong..lol) and will probably seek out some new versions of Yoga/pilates for 2 out of 4-days a week... now its time to find some fresh cardio workouts.

Day-50 Fit Test
This is supposed to be day-50 of the program of workouts, but I've really only been working out 4-days a week on the program and 1 to 2 other days of moderate sports activity ( ie swimming, soccer...etc.). So I'm guessing that I might have better fit test results if I stuck with the 6-days a week. but reality is that I need to continue to mix it up to stay interested... that being said, here are my results: 1 Minute each - Max Reps Switch Kicks 92, Power Jacks 53, Power Knees 93, Power Jumps 30 (YEAH!), Globe Jumps 9, Suicide Jumps 14, Push-up Jacks 15 (YEAH!), Low Plank Obliques 60. BTW, the first few days of the "Max" programs were super tough, but you certainly will find improvement if you just "dig deeper" as he says in the videos. I'm certainly not perfect or the best at it, but I'm definitley improving with each workout.
